Basis of forensic science cover established science and practice, the basic theoretical material, the effective mastering of which serves as a prerequisite for the further formation knowledge of the external doctorate students and higher education graduates, learning individual and more substantive issues of forensic science.

The information content of the textbook is presented in classical form in four chapters of forensic science:

Chapter I: General provisions of criminology.

Chapter II: Forensic techniques.

Chapter III: Forensic tactics and forensic methods.

Chapter IV: Forensic methods.

The proposed book is in an effort to applicants of higher education, scientific and academics, as well as, jurisprudence practitioners who wish to deepen knowledge of a foreign language, taking into account professional competences regarding the general provisions of classical domestic criminalistics.

To improve the quality of self-independently, each of the sections ends with questions for self-control.

The educational manual contains the following sections:

«Introduction» – contains an introductory word stating the purpose, objectives of the course, and the relevance of the issues required today.

«Chapter I. General theory of forensic science» - the study of the general provisions of forensic science is aimed at the acquisition of theory, the formation of criminalistics, its history and development genesis, methodological basis and other fundamental aspects.

«Chapter II. Forensic technique» - involves getting acquainted with the basic scientific regulations regarding the system of technical means and methods of their use in order to identify, fix, extract and investigate criminally significant information, evidence and their procedural sources in criminal proceedings.

«Chapter III. Forensic tactics» - as an independent chapter of forensic science deals with the organization and planning of investigations, the construction of investigative leads, the conduct of individual investigative (search) actions, the use of opportunities for tactical operations and combinations in criminal proceedings

«Chapter IV: Forensic methodology» - in the context of study the forensic techniques, the reader is invited to master the general provisions and key elements of the methodology for investigating certain types of crime.

«List of recommended literature and information resources»– contains a list of sources that can be used to prepare for classes.

«The authors of educational manual» - contains information about the authors of the textbook.
